Virgin Islands Attractions
There are other things to do on the islands, but there is something for everyone to enjoy, even if it is a sinking ship. The Virgin Islands are known for their beautiful beaches, beautiful scenery and good food and drink.
As we left the cruise ship, passing St. Thomas, there were sights to see and a variety of water and land activities to do. From hiking in St. John National Park to getting to know the island culture on St. Thomas, there is plenty to do for the whole family during a vacation in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Here you will find all that there are some of the most beautiful and well preserved natural sites in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The beaches of St. Croix are not as breathtaking as those of the other two islands, but the views are still great and the beaches are the best of both worlds. These bays are unsurpassed for surfing, windsurfing and paddling, as well as for a variety of other activities.
If you are not interested in the crowds and want some action during your Caribbean vacation, St. Thomas is the Virgin Island for you. If you want to go island hopping and explore the US Virgin Islands on the water, ferries are available to take you to and from St. Thomas and St. John. You can also take a ride on one of the many private boats in the US Virgin Islands.
Tortola, the capital of the British Virgin Islands, is also a short and inexpensive ferry ride away, and from there you can easily reach even more islands. If you are on the island you were hoping for, you will find yourself in St. John, a small island in the Caribbean with a population of about 1,000.
The airport also has its fair share of international travelers, and you can check in at St. John's Airport at any time of the day or night for free.
